Avant Garde Music TV episode 11

This time we look at LUNA and its offshoots Britta & Dean, who the critics call the Lou Reed/Tom Verlaine of the 1990s...then I whisk you off to the Brit Prog Art Rock of 1971, when music was warping rock and opera and classical and sci fi electronics, pre-punk snarling, and vast waves of grandeur, in the time of ELO, Yes, Silver Apples, Mad River, Mandrake Memorial, Aorta, Spooky Tooth, Gong, AMM, Jefferson Airplane, Blue Cheer, SRC, Led Zeppelin, and King Crimson: presenting VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR, even better than SOFT MACHINE.

LUNA: "American Express Blue commercial" (0:29)

"Knives From Bavaria" (2:55)

Britta Phillips & Dean Wareham (LUNA)

It's a long post, but wait till you see my One Post Eternally Scrolling Blog or anti-blog that I'm developing.

It's a long post, because with each LUNA video, I'd be astonished at the beauty and superior post-Hellywood acting brilliance, and put up another LUNA video. It might have literally gone on until I ran out of LUNA videos posted to YouTube.

It's a long post, because I had just bought "Pawn Hearts" LP by VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR at the little hippie record store up the street, Younger Than Yesterday, and wanted to let others know how cool they were way back in the hippie era of 1971. Noises in that music that I'm just now learning to orchestrate to good effect.

It's hard for any electronic composer to surpass these early pioneers, even with our big complex computer music systems, virtual online instrumentation, and sythesizer workshops.

"Night Nurse" by LUNA, see I knew the instant I posted that video: "Carrie will like this one, for sure!"

Censorship? How can an Ethical Anarchist practice censorship?

Not censorship, but protecting my readers from malicious con artist buzz agents and spambots.

I have written extensively about how I detest Paid Enthusiasts, PayPerPost, and artificial Word of [Compensated, Incentivized] Mouth marketing.

Since I got rid of the Word Verification Spambot Killer, I get the automated spam comments flooding my Gmail inbox. "Nice site. Buy Viagroin" etc.
