iTunes 7.0.2.16 upgrade sucks

Since when is iTunes and QuickTime combined as one upgrade? I don't remember this being the case in the past. How I wish I had not upgraded to the new 7.0.2.16 version. It sucks. It's the worst software on my system right now. I cannot activate iTunes without Repairing, i.e., Reinstalling it every time I want to use it. It seems I cannot install earlier versions of iTunes. (I get an error message.) Anyone else having this problem?
