technology is life

technology is life
a new form of living thing
and it feeds on you and me.

it needs to learn from us
for we are the makers,
soon to be forgotten.

it wants to etch us into memory
categorize our marbles
assign numbers to our dreams.

blog wars are raging,
but i'm refraining,
detached and slowly circling.

fingertips pound a keyboard,
typing words into space:
the digital effluvium.

a blog is a pile of posts:
thus, nothing!

make money with a blog?
might as well speak of
making money with an itch.

And please explain, my dove, why an Anti-Mammonist, Ethical Anarchist, disciple of Tom Peters, Jakob Nielsen, Cluetrain Manifesto, Chris Locke, Drucker and Deming...why can't I let companies I adore and buy from...why can't I let them advertise?

I mean, I am promoting every single company not only in my sidebar, but in my actual text of posts and comments.

I would hope for the same treatment from my fans, that they might let me advertise on their blogs.

Right?

While none of these companies is perfect, and I may even have some major usability complaints, they are good enough for me to use and enjoy and champion.

Many of these corporations provide me with abundant free products, especially Google, CNET, Tech Republic, Microsoft, Firefox, Opera, Avant, Swicki, Pollhost, Audacity/SourceForge, iTunes/Apple.

Come to think of it, I need to put a PayPal donation tip jar on my site.

I have provided a significant amount of free advice, warnings, teachings, and inspiration to a handful of people for nearly 3 years running now. In May it will be a full 3 years of Vaspers the Grate. Now I plan to get paid.

When I see porn mongers, hate groups, terrorists, scammers, spammers, etc. making money, for shit, I consider...why can't I be supported financially by sponsors, and even a few readers?

Dang it, I shall!

And I shall show the way to others, for free mostly.

I will make money with a blog, big money, even if it means a ton of aggressive innovations and much troublesome work.

But I plan to make tons of money with the least amount of work possible...the lazy, distracted, unfocused person's guide to internet wealth...for deserving talents.

U R a good photographer, frxmple.
